Kaplan Law Firm, located in Austin, Texas, represents individuals in a wide range of employment and civil rights matters, including claims for breach of employment contract, breach of noncompete agreements, discrimination, overtime violations, wage and hour violations, whistleblower retaliation, FMLA violations, and marriage equality matters.
The firm wanted their branding to inspire confidence in their wide range of practice areas and incredible success in representing the Austin community.
Logo
Employment law is Kaplan Law Firm’s specialty, so we fused geometric line art of business attire with a scale to suggest justice in the workplace. We locked it up into a neat little badge with the brand name and tag to create a logo that is as visually compelling as it is explanatory.
We chose a sky blue as the primary brand color and a dark blue as secondary for contrast and selected fonts that were wide and rounded for friendliness and approachability, but still polished and sophisticated.
The resulting logo is clean and sophisticated while still appearing strong and modern, representing the powerful work that Austin Kaplan and his associates accomplish for their clients every day.
Site
We created this site mobile first in Illustrator to showcase the firm’s flashy new photography, inform potential clients on the firm’s capabilities, and inspire them to reach out for aid.
The site uses the blues of the logo as primary colors and a brick red as a secondary color, predominantly for callouts.
A rich icon library was developed for the site as well, all of which fit nicely beside the firm’s logo.

Austin Woman Magazine
This half page journal ad ran in the Austin Woman September 2019 issue during the height of the #MeToo movement. The ad was targeted to professional women in Austin and was intended to convey a message of empowerment and the support that Kaplan Law Firm can provide.
